I’m the Assistant Program Coordinator with Contra Costa County Independent Living Skills Program. I have over eleven years of social service management experience. Prior to joining the Independent Living Skills Program, I was the Director of Covenant House in Oakland, California, a community service center serving the needs of at-risk and homeless youth between the ages of 16 and 22.
In addition, I have served as a lecturer at Contra Costa College and Los Medanos College in the Early Childhood Development Department. I’m also a member of the Child Welfare League of America National Advisory Committee on Youth Development, and a member of Contra Costa College and Los Medanos College Foster Care Education Advisory Boards.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and my master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Hayward.
I consider myself a true advocate for youth!
